In 1961, Italian immigrants opened metallurgical John Fortino Fortinos first company in Hamilton, Ontario. In 1972, John took seven partners and open a second store in Hamilton Mountain. Because of their success increasingly shop has opened in Hamilton, Burlington and Brampton below. Fortinos be part of the 1988 Loblaw Companies Limited
In the 1990s, Fortinos focused on the Greater Toronto Area, opening stores in Toronto, Woodbridge and Markham. Only two stores in Toronto remain with his throws Brampton, Burlington, Oakville and wood in the GTA.
